The Office of Residential Life is looking for enthusiastic and engaged students to fill our Front Desk Attendant positions within our residence halls. The Front Desk Attendant position consists of sitting front desk in one of our 4 residence hall communities (6 residence halls) to help maintain safety, security, and community engagement within those communities. Priority hiring will be given to students with federal work-study awards. Duties include but are not limited to: • Ensuring residents are swiping into the turnstiles with their ID • Checking IDs of all residence hall guests • Maintaining the residence hall guest log with detailed accuracy • Completing a front desk log for the Residence Hall Director (RHD) at the end of each shift • Answering the phone at the front desk • Assisting with resident inquires and/or work orders as it relates to the residence hall • Assisting with visitor inquiries as it relates to the residence hall • Maintaining lobby appearance as outlined by the Residence Hall Director Front Desk Attendants will also be expected to: • Work a minimum of 10 hours a week for the department in this role • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when working front desk shifts • Maintain timely submission of hours worked/timesheets for approval for pay • Remain honest in submission of hours worked/timesheets • Attend training and/or in-service opportunities as planned • Maintain confidentiality of student information within the scope of FERPA • Disclose campus activity involvement and other campus employment for hiring and planning purposes |
