Job Description

We are seeking highly organized candidates with outstanding academic achievements for the role of Learning Research Associate (LRA) in the LEXICON Center of Excellence to work with full time Education Faculty to support their instruction and preparation in courses specific to language/literacy, bilingual/multilingual and/or special education.

The LRA is expected to work 10 hours per week over the 15-week semester, excluding spring break.

This position requires strict student confidentiality and professionalism.

Learning Research Associate Responsibilities:

Help the professor obtain materials and conduct research for the course, support content review on Blackboard Course page, as needed

Support the professor in coordinating students' required field experience placements, as needed

Support students with academic help, offer office hours-as assigned by faculty

LRA will be asked on occasion to lead class lectures or activities, under faculty supervision

Perform other reasonable duties as needed by assigned course faculty member

Job Requirements

Must be registered in an education graduate degree program (MST or MSED).

Must be enrolled in a minimum of six credits during the semester of LRA work.

Must have strong academic record, with a minimum GPA of 3.8-4.0.

Should have experience in leadership positions.

Must possess excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Should have outstanding organizational skills and exceptional interpersonal abilities.

Requires strong computer literacy, including comfort with using Blackboard.
